On Blake's website he is lying about what I said on the Lago radio show. Blake says, “I was on Lago this morning along with James Dueer and Willie Vaden. My opponent, James Dueer, suggested converting the Air Conditioner at American Bank Center to clean natural gas…. suggesting another oppressive federal regulation.” (Blake please at least spell my name correctly.)
I never said that I would introduce federal regulations to force conversion of the Convention Center to a natural gas powered air conditioning.
What I stated is that we need our Universities to do research and development on new uses of clean natural gas to drive demand and create JOBS FOR TEXANS!! I want to develop new uses for natural gas and thus drive demand for natural gas. Increased demand will provide energy sector Jobs, what is wrong with jobs, Blake?? Just because you never worked in the oil field should not be the reason you are against promoting environmentally friendly natural gas.
And the fact that some natural gas driven air conditioning units had to be replaced, is more reason why we should use Texas A&M University and University of Texas, both in our Congressional District, to develop new efficient natural gas driven air conditioning systems.
This is a typical Washington political move for Blake to fight against developing jobs in the energy sector, just because I have it as part of my Platform. Blake is quick to always run to the opposite of what I propose, reminds you of Washington doesn’t it!
I want Natural Gas to be an integral component of our National Energy Policy, and I want South Texas to be the Leader in energy technology. Let’s put an engineer in Congress, not a lawyer, I appreciate your support and vote.
By the way, the City of Corpus Christi Gas Department powers their building’s air conditioning system on clean natural gas.
